About Us

In June of 2006, Ty agreed to attend a night of Family Bible Week (Calvary's version of VBS) with a friend and couldn't have imagined where the Lord would lead him over the course of the next several years, beginning on this night. It was during that week that Morgan and Ty became "friends." Up until this point, Ty had been a guy that Morgan knew of (not well, mind you) in high school; the basketball player who was freakishly tall and very outgoing. Ty knew Morgan as one of the girls in Tarah's (his sister) grade and an older sister to Haden whom Ty had cadet taught when Haden was in 4th grade. Looking back, it is so neat to see how God was writing their love story, without either of them having any idea. With the help of some mutual friends, they went on a date at the conclusion of that week and began what has evolved into a life-long love and a relationship more wonderful than either of them could ever have imagined. At that point, Ty was 19 and Morgan was (freshly!) 16 when they met and went on their first date.

Fast forward a few years and Morgan is now in college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville (Go Hogs!!). Ty was actually back in Bolivar after pursuing a few different degree paths at other colleges, and he would eventually graduate from SBU. In August of 2010, Ty proposed to Morgan on a Wednesday evening after church. It was such a special and memorable night! Ty tends to complain to Morgan about her "unrealistic expectations" on things and big events such as this one, but she willingly 100% admits that he did a perfect job planning and executing their engagement that night!

After nearly two years of planning, and with the help of wonderful friends and willing family, their dream day took place on June 9th, 2012. Surrounded by all of their closest friends and families, they proclaimed their love and life-long dedication to one another. What a joyous and beautiful thing God created when He created the bond of marriage and what a blessing to be able to experience it for ourselves. We hope that you enjoy our blog!
